Jump then Learn

Posted by Derek in

This thing won’t be a walk in the park
Especially with my knowledge of things still in the dark
Guidance and direction, you’ll provide me with, you say
But with those reassurances now, I’m still kept at bay
To spread my wings and take off in flight
My human mind wants to know what’s right
Unfortunately, that’s not how things work
I’ll see the light only when I’m about to go berserk
You say “Jump now, and you’ll learn later”
To handle things as your veins begin to rupture
It’s no easy task to walk in a bind
And no less, to continually be open with my mind
But with this line of work, that’s the price and the calling
To achieve success and be assured of not falling
I’ve got to swing before I see the ball
Or else I’ll hit nothing at all.
