Clouds cover up the early morning sun
The whole world slowly turns to gray.
All the light is sucked out of life
It looks like another bad day.
The birds cease their joyous chirping
And slowly begin a mournful song.
It seems as if the earth is crying
As her waters blanket the land.
Lost in the growing sea of sadness
Are the ubiquitous once-paved paths.
The mud has covered up their existence
Leaving man stranded with only his persistence.
And so with the darkness surrounding
The man must now make a choice
He has unlimited possibilities
in his search to reclaim his Light.
